Northeastern Asian Actors

I have seen many young northeast Asian guys(tourists or residents) here in the USA sporting longish hair. And I have always wondered why there are so many of them sporting that kind of hair. Evidently they emulate it from the pop idols popular in their country of origin. I perfectly do not see the beauty of these longish hair. Give me that clean cut hair anytime. I was born and raised in the Philippines and long hair was not the popular thing there for actors. Somehow in northeast Asia, it is.
