I am not a big fan of people using their cell phone all the time in public. You see them on their phone while crossing the street, paying the cashier, driving, walking their dogs, grocery shopping and many more scenarios. For one thing, they are distracted when they use their phone and this slows down whatever they are doing which in turn affects other people. The worst of these cell phone use annoyance is biking while on their phone. Not only is it suicide, it also puts other drivers/bikers in danger! Come on, what is so important with that cell phone call that one can't wait till they are done with their bike ride? That is just stupid. Should I grieve for a dead stupid person?(pic from ski-epic.com)

Hear hear! I begrudgingly own a celphone and as you know, rarely answer it. It is almost always on silent or vibrate, if it's even on. I don't like subjecting other people to my biggest pet peeve. Why do you think people have this overwhelming need to stay in touch at all times of the day?

just tonight driving home from the gym at 11 pm, i saw a guy in his dark winter coat biking with one hand on the phone. what a numskull!
