The Right of Way

My assumption is that pedestrian has always the right of way. Even if it's a "don't walk" light and they decide to cross the street, they still have the right of way. In an ideal world, all drivers will yield to the pedestrian. But what happens if the driver is crazy or intoxicated and did not yield to the pedestrian? Who do you think will sustain more injury or even death? Car versus man... Hmmm, there is no contest. Knowing this fact, I don't understand how some pedestrian can be so idiotic as to exert their right of way. Everybody should use common sense and avoid a car versus yourself collision no matter who has the right of way. Exception applies in suicide attempts or those who wants to injure themselves for the purpose of monetary gains from ensuing litigation. So to sum up my thoughts, car versus man, car has always the right of way.

Unfortunately, if someone tries to take your right of way and you refuse to yield it, it is still your fault.
